- Healer's Guide -


A Healer can't be raised by just one person's effort alone...not only it is because healers can't solo, but also they need certain friends to lvl up with all the time... You can party with anyone but you may not be able to raise your lvl everytime when you party.. It is important for healers to party with skilled and trusted people or they will all end up dying. Healers are responsible for healing, picking up items, speed up spell, buff (if there's any), resurrection, beheading and saving her party from death... Once healer reaches lv 38 many people will eventually be asking for heal, rivive, speed up and many things even they are not one of your party. Be kind to give them what they need and you will have good reputation. A guild should have at least 2 healers later as this game will be more focused on Guild War. Role of healing will be more and more demanded.
Healers should have well organized and easy-going personality. Never be selfish as it can hurt your friendship between you and your fellows.. Be ready to give up on drops and items if the warrior wants to keep it for himself.. Be ready to give Geons if the warrior is short on money to buy a new sword. The best deal for a healer is perhaps having a great friends. (not good friends but great friends)

Stat

There are several types of stat distribution but I will mention two the most popular among them..

from lvl 1-20: You should just raise your char like a demage dealing lightening mage... (Many people has been arguing which mages should be the healer type.. Ice mages were once so popular healers but things has been changed and Lightening mages seem to be fitting with healer.)
Have health point multiples of 9, and then have wisdom and int like 50wis : 60int ratio.. by the time when you can cure more than 300 HP, it is time for you to do stat distribution and be a perfect healer... start to learn Cure at lvl 16 and upgrade them whenever possible... Please learn (self)heal up to lv 5(max) as it will certainly save your life many times when you are in danger in the future..

Stat distribution

It is time to do stat change if you can heal more than 300HP, and have certain friends or guild to party with all the time... You have to be at least lv 20 in order to change your stat. If any of two don't fullfill the requirement.. don't do stat change yet... raise couple more lvl and keep searching for friends... the party member is responsible for saving you even he is being attacked.. Try party with warriors or archers as they tend to have more HP then mages.

1st type mage: 54 health + all wisdom
2nd type mage: 54 health + 90% wisdom + 10% agility (keep it as multiples of 3)
3rd type mage: 72 health + all wisdom (for high lvl healers)

*If you have solo as an healer many times, put about 40~50 Int on your stat..

It is totally up to you if you want to redistribute your stat as 1st type or 2nd type.. (I would personally choose to be the 3rd type)

Skills

Max out Heal, Cure. (Heal:selfheal lv5 + wisdom 137 will give you 300hp heal without delay!)
Do not learn Lightening Mastery as it doesn't really do anything.
The purpose of learning lightening magic is because shockwave is useful for healers when they have to solo or have to kill monsters quickly. It is recommended that you learn this shock wave. Lightening blow can also be helpful when you have to help warriors killing monsters. (healing should be the main thing that you should do.. helping warriors by attacking monster is not usually recommended so be cautious when you decide to help warriors.)
Meditation should be mastered.
Speed up and Resurrection should be mastered.
Later you should learn cure2; and max them out.


Armor

32 armor: They are good for any mages but it should be eventually replaced with either 42 or 46 armor. You should have at least 32 armor if you want to kill monsters higher than Water Dragon.

42 armor: Plain 42 armor is somewhat common but having 42 armor with stat option is much better.. It is recommended that you have 42 armor with 2 or 3 int on it since healers are low on Int.

32+1 armor: It is an extremely rare armor that gives you +6 Wisdom each.. That makes +30 wisdom added if you collect all 32+1 armors. It is useful when you have full party (6 people in a party) however it rather has low defence so use it with caution. They are usually more expensive then 42 armor.

46 armor is also good for healers. However, it is very expensive and hard to get it. You can evade pretty good when you even have to face devil troops or higher monsters.
Optional Talisman can be used: Glorious talisman of protection.

47 armor: it is perhaps the best armor known. It can be made when you put Glorious talisman of protection on 46 armor. However, each price of Glorious talisman is very expensive and it has low success rate so it is recommended to use it with caution when you use the talisman.



Weapon

have two magic sticks available to you as you can switch them depends on the situation
You should have Saedan Stick and Saehak Stick

Saedan stick is for the time when you have to solo. (recommanded talisman: +10, Intelligent 9 or 10)
Saehak stick is used when you party. (recommanded talisman: Wisdom 10 {can give you total of 15 Wisdom point to your stat..})

Trinket: either warrior's or archer's Trinket is needed depends on wis stat.. Warrior's trinket can give you more HP... Archer's trinket can give you both MP and HP equally and also agility.
(However, keep magician's trinket and use it when you have full party)


How to play healer

Healing people is not an easy job.. Not only heal but you also have to keep your eye on each party members buff and status. Give yourself speed up spell first and then give them the same thing in order.. When your speed up spell runs out.. it means your party member need speed up spell too. When your party can't fight against many monster attacking and should run away, make sure they have speed up spell on them.. When warrior start to run away, you should quickly have to decide whether you should give them heal or give them speed up.
It is important to tell party member who you will be healing the most.. usually the one that does the highest demage on monster should get heal as they gets the most monsters hits. Tell other party members that they should use pots whenever they need.
Do not stand on warriors when they attack because warriors may have trouble targeting the monsters. Rather, stand beside and heal them so that they can see monsters clearly. Do not stand too far from warriors as it may attract other monsters to come and get you. If this should happen, warriors should come and take the monsters hitting you.
When warrior is dead, make sure to clear other monsters around him. As soon as they revive, you should give them heal and speed up to prevent from monster regen and killing him again.
Don't ever run away because you are getting hit from monsters.. use pot and you should keep healing the warriors.. If you die too quick that means you should raise health more.

Greater Resurrection

-Max out at 3
-140~200 mana consume
-Cool time : 7 sec
-Casting time: 1.8~2.6 sec
-Resurrect a person with more HP and MP, Rivived person will be brought to the person who casted Resurrection.

Greater Heal

-Max out at 3
-62~90 mana consume
-cool time: 0.6 sec
-Casting time: 1.8 sec
-Someone who learned greater heal told me that he could heal up to 1400HP..

Sleep

-Max out at 5
-166~214 mana consume
-cool time: 6 sec
-Casting time: 0~1.5 sec
-monsters in the area will be put to sleep.. they will wake up when attacked..

Greater Defence

-Max out at 2
-72~103 mana consume
-cool time: 5 sec
-casting time: 2 sec
-increase target's defence.
